Establishment

PETRODRIL is a consulting and service company which was formed in 1992, as a division of Datavision Systems Pvt. Ltd., with the object of providing professional services, technical and corporate, to the petroleum and other energy related business. Datavision was incorporated in 1984 as a Software Development and Data processing Company, and through its association with Digicon and Cogniseis was involved in Seismic Processing and Interpretation services, including marketing of FOCUS and DISCO seismic processing software. Datavision also worked with Delft Geophysical of the Netherlands for promoting PC based interpretation workstation & offshore seismic technology.

A need for professional consulting services in the area of Exploration and Production of Oil & Gas in India prompted the change of business philosophy of the company and establishment of PETRODRIL as a division. A thorough knowledge of the Petroleum Industry in India and access to experienced and highly qualified technical personnel in different fields of specialization, and an ability to make a strong project team has enabled PETRODRIL to be highly successful.

Core Competency

PETRODRIL is equipped to carry out a range of activities, varying from, review and evaluation of Exploration and Development acreage; drawing up of exploration and development plans with investment schedules and economic analysis; to offering consultants for specific jobs such as geological review, stratigraphic analysis, formation evaluation, seismic interpretation, contract drafting, assistance in farming in/out, etc. PETRODRIL has been a catalyst for investment and induction of technology from International companies for exploration, seismic surveys, and logistic services.

PETRODRIL is also involved in identification and location of suitable partners for Joint bids for Exploration and Development projects. PETRODRIL has assisted Indian companies to form partnership with international Oil & Gas operating companies. International companies have also assisted to form successful partnerships with Indian Companies, for ventures in India as well as overseas.

Sundeep Bhandari, Director and Chief Executive Officer. Has over 15 year of Industry experience, having worked with several International companies involved Exploration and development of Hydrocarbons.

Ajay Baheti, Financial Controller, has 12 years of experience, including 5 years in the Petroleum industry, has been associated with several international companies with whom Petrodril has working relationship. Has carried out economic analysis and review for several projects including a few Oil & Gas Development projects.

R. N. Desai, Explorationist, (Geologist) former head of the Exploration Contract Monitoring Group of ONGC, associated as an advisor on Exploration and Production related activities.

S. D. Uniyal, Geophysist & Mumbai representative with over 30 years of experience of working on seismic crews of ONGC both offshore & onshore. Handles project support work in Mumbai.
