• 1500 Sq. Km 3D seismic survey started on April 14, 2000, And completed on June 30, 2000.
• 1st Deep-Water well beyond 1000 meters of water depth drilled in the block.
• Four Hydrocarbon discoveries announced by Cairn Energy within 18 months of award of licence.
• First major new field discovery under NELP named 'Annapurna' on July 5, 2001.
