- Exploration block in Cambay Basin
offered under 6th Round of bidding in 1996.
- Assisted Command Petroleum in
selection and bid preparation for the block.
- Bid submitted in 1996, PSC signed
in June 1998.
- Assisted Command to finalize
an agreement with Tata Petrodyne to come in
as a partner in the bid.
- After Command Petroleum merged
with Cairn Energy, assisted Cairn to increase
its equity through a farm-in deal with Tata's.
- First well resulted in a successful
discovery "Lakshmi". Estimated reserve
of Lakshmi-400 BCF.
- Three Additional discoveries
have been announced, two of which are Gas discoveries
'Gauri' and 'Ambe' and one is an oil discovery
'Parvati'.
- Involved in obtaining state
and central clearances on a fast track basis
to develop the discoveries.
- Estimated Gas reserves
in the block-1 TCF.
